About the Author
Dr. Claud Anderson is a noted black author who has successfully implemented social and economic change throughout his career. His unique background of experience is reflected in PowerNomics: The National Plan. To implement the strategy of industrializing Black communities, he has established a vertically integrated seafood industry that is currently operating and will expand into urban areas across the nation. His company is one of the few black-owned companies to make stock available to the general public through an initial public offering. In addition to his most recent seafood project, he owns a vertically integrated publishing company and was one of the first blacks to own a radio station in Florida.

Dr. Anderson headed two economic development corporations in Florida and was appointed by President Jimmy Carter as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce and the head of the Coastal Plains Regional Commission. In that position he worked with governors in the southeast states to develop and fund economic development projects, including seafood. He was Coordinator of Education for the State of Florida under Governor Reubin Askew during integration and has held a number of high-level positions in national and state politics. He is also President of The Harvest Institute, a black research, education and advocacy organization. He is imminently qualified to offer a plan to empower Black America.

For anyone who has an interest in motor sport this book is fantastic, all those famous names attached to high performance equipment we have used at some time come to life. Learning about these innovative folks who often built components with the bare minimum of equipment and technology has been a treat and provided me with many hours of enjoyable reading. A nitro fed read !!

I was mesmerized by the story that was told in the movie, "Rise of the Footsoldier," and purchased this outstanding book to obtain a more in-depth understanding of Cartlon Leach, hooliganism, bouncers, and the British gangster lifestyle. Leach is candid, articulate, and entertaining throughout his account. I also appreciated his willingness to not only show the glamorous side of the underworld lifestyle, but also the devastating consequences associated with it. Highly recommended.

With this volume, Fantagraphics reaches the midpoint in its project to reprint the entire body of work by R. (for Robert) Crumb, by far the most important and prolific of 1960s underground comics artists. The book collects strips from 1976^-77, when Crumb's bitterness and misogyny were no longer offset by the hippie ethos. This is not Crumb's most engaging work--that is found in earlier series installments--but it does indicate the directions his later career would take in its halfhearted stories featuring earlier characters and others that paved the way for the predominant alternative comics genre of the nineties, the warts-and-all autobiographical tale. Notably portentous among the latter are two brief stories drawn by Crumb but written by Harvey Pekar, whose own autobiographical approach was to be even more influential than Crumb's. With Crumb the subject of a new, critically acclaimed documentary film, libraries might do well to have this volume and its predecessors on hand for patrons who want to sample Crumb's work after seeing the movie. About the Author
Born in Philadelphia, R. Crumb is the author of numerous comic works and one of the pioneers of underground comics. His books include Kafka, The Complete Crumb Comics (17 volumes), The R. Crumb Sketchbook (10 volumes), R. Crumb Draws the Blues, The Book of Mr. Natural, The Book of Genesis Illustrated by R. Crumb, and many more. He lives in the south of France with his wife, the artist Aline Kominsky-Crumb.

Aline Crumb is an American underground comics artist and the author of Need More Love: A Graphic Memoir. She lives in southern France.

Harvey Pekar (1939-2010) was a comic book writer and author of the autobiographical American Splendor series, which was adapted into an Academy Award nominated film. Pekar was also a prolific jazz and book critic.

All the Robert Crumb collections are perfect,but this one is my personal favorite. The Mr. natural story is the best thing I read in years. I laughed so hard my head was hurting. Buy this collection now! Thank you.
